Pre-press – A good start

Perfect printing starts at the prepress stage.

The pre-press area is where the course is set, where ideas become content, words and pictures become layouts. How is this achieved? In so many ways. Through digital photography, data preparation, image processing and retouching, design layouts, page layouts – and finally through CTP (Computer To Plate), the digital image setting process. Better, more economical and faster.

Prepress > If you wish we can see your project through from start to finish because the workflow in our digital prepress area offers a smooth transition from data generation and acceptance to plate making. Here 30 members of staff lay the groundwork for excellent printing results. A special service for you: our colour management team. They take great care to ensure that the various colour spaces and colour ranges of the equipment used in the image processing chain are carefully coordinated so that the end product based on your picture copy can be monitored at each stage of production. And this not only gives you peace of mind and added security – it also saves you time and money.

You can send large amounts of data quickly via our FTP server. Of course, we can also receive your print data via ISDN or through our own data transfer program. Our DTP department checks your incoming files, prepares them and sends you a proof sheet by digital plotter or using our own Proof IT software. Proof IT enables you to inspect your proofs in order to give your approval at any time, wherever you are. As soon as we have your go-ahead we can use our high tech image setter to create the plates. In this process a finished plate is made every one and a half minutes, regardless of whether in FM or AM screening. If that doesn’t impress you!
