Quality management – Perfectionists united

Quality is our standard.

For us, perfectionism is not a dirty word. On the contrary: our goal is to constantly improve the quality of everything we do. This is what motivates us. After all, your orders are at stake and we want more to follow. So we always deliver the best quality – thanks to our certified quality management system.

Quality management > We are only satisfied if you are satisfied – and keep on coming back. This is our goal. To achieve the highest possible quality and keep our customers satisfied. Sheer profit has never been adequate motivation for us, nor have we ever striven to be simply “cheap”. It is a sign of our attention to quality that we have our own proofing department which checks everything with meticulous care. Nothing escapes the eagle eyes of our staff. You could call this fastidious. We do.

Offset printing process standard > We work according to the process control standard for offset printing, DIN ISO 12647-2:2004. We have created a Colour Management Team for this purpose. Specifically, this means that we have reduced the vast number of different printing characteristics in daily practice to a manageable number of standard characteristics. This results in shorter coordination times when setting up print jobs and saves both material costs and time. It improves print quality and we can guarantee that the proof and the final results are identical. After all, what really matters is what the customer finally holds in his hands. And that must be right.

Density control systems > The fully automatic colour and density control systems on our web and sheet-fed presses ensure that this high quality of printing is kept constant throughout the entire print run. Any deviations from the required ink density or location or any other quality features are quickly picked up by the integrated metering equipment, recorded and if necessary corrected automatically. When the print job is complete, the results can be printed out in a log which records the ink feed data for the entire job. This means that the print quality is fully documented.

Barcode system > Our staff at the presses mark each outgoing palette with a palette note containing a barcode. The palette is automatically recorded in our barcode system. This means that we can track the production status of all palettes for a given order. All subsequent production stages and any change of storage location are entered into the barcode system by scanning in the code. This gives you a complete record of which of your palettes left our premises and when. The transparency of this process enhances your security and ours.

FSC certification > We have been FSC certified since January 2005. This means that we only use FSC-certified paper identified by the FSC logo. Through this commitment Stark is making an important contribution to environmental protection.
